Good morning beautiful people ! I am still trying to wake up, as I was very tired and up late. The fog of sleep is still on me ☺️☺️☺️. Baxter is snoozing under the bench at the end of the bed. He likes to hide there. It’s 94 already at 11 am. Up to 103 today. Maybe today I can finally go swimming but I have errands to run as well. 👍👍👍. Hugs to all. Love from me and BaxMan ♥️. PS. I embellished this with trees, egg basket, sky, and pretty barn accents, and border. FYI

Hope you’re having a great day … I don’t even know what day it at this moment. Oh yes … Monday. It’s Meatless Monday at our house. Yuck. So, I volunteered to make 7 layer salad today for dinner and garlic bread. Something I love … no farrow or quinoa or meatless noodles for me 😎😎😎😎😎. Yeah !!! I’m just not a big grain fan. No offense healthy friends ♥️♥️♥️. Hugs to all ⭐️😊

I also try to make Monday's meatless as well......your 7 layer salad sounds GREAT...yep, me too...not a fan of grains either, though I will eat them...in fact, I'll eat just about anything!! Hard to please the fussy husband....hope your day is going well too my friend...

1 year ago@Dee Van Nope. I’m writing thank you comments and I have to make that 7 layer salad for dinner and refrigerate it. I love salad and this is an old favorite. I keep trying to get in the pool … but I’m so allergic to time and schedules etc., I’m a mess and it’s 3 pm before I know it. I need a plan to get better at it 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫. Thanks Dee …. ♥️

1 year ago@tcrain 🇺🇸🇲🇹 P S. The reason I have problems with my son’s cooking on Meatless Monday is that … they go out all the time and eat out. So they try to curb that on MM, but he makes nothing dinners. I suggested frittatas, omelets, salads with apples and nuts in them, or pastas with great sauces and cheese etc. or mushroom. Zucchini casseroles etc. He rejects all and gives me sesame noodles in a bowl. I just toss it and eat a salad or soup. Frustrating ♥️

1 year agoOh no. I think they might take summer break. I don’t recall. I’ll look it up. It used to sell a lot on EBay but I haven’t had the need to look. I’ll check it out. 🙂🙂🙂

1 year agoMmmmmmall your suggestions sound delish!!!....sounds like your a fantastic cook...and your son not so much??.....i know people who eat out all the time because they can't cook....I love to cook...we never (rarely) eat out...i just can't justify the cost when I can make it better at home for a third of the price!

1 year ago@tcrain 🇺🇸🇲🇹 I used to cook all the time, and I loved feeding the neighbors too. But here I’m in my son’s garage conversion to granny flat. I did add a bathroom addition. I have a cooktop, but only a toaster oven and microwave. Not too conducive to cooking I’m afraid. I’m in 600 sq ft. All one room except bathroom addition. I have all these small cook books that were put together by local schools and and charities. I love them ♥️♥️♥️

1 year agoDeb...is there a reason youre not living in the home? does the garage have AC/heat?...I know conversions can be amazing so maybe better there than the house? 600 sq ft is quite large for a garage so I'm hoping your living space is comfortable and nice.

1 year ago@tcrain 🇺🇸🇲🇹 My son and his future wife were going to get married. They hated driving to see me 45 minutes away. So they suggested we both sell our houses, find one with a casita or something. But we couldn’t find one. My house sold in 24 hours, so I had to move soon to his old house and then to new house. We put our money in the new house. Yes, there is heat and AC. I regret it. I was very seriously thinking of a 55+ place … but I did what they wanted. So…….. surprise, surprise 😳😑😮🥴

1 year agoAhhhh...I see...and I can understand why you would regret the decision. I am sure it would be difficult at this point to get your $$ back from them to allow you to move into a 55+ place where you may enjoy life more? We have to make the best out of decisions unfortunately and tell ourselves we are fortunate and that life could be so much worse.
