I like him so much but my parents don’t like him one bitπŸ₯² so basically my mom told me that it’s my choice if i go with him to prom or not and THEN literally right after that she told me all the things that could go wrong and that she has an experience like that and that it wouldn’t be the best decision-

-for me to make is to not go but THEN she says again that it’s my choice and my decision. Sooooooooo yeahπŸ˜‘ it’s hard for me because I really like this guy and my parents really do NOT like him. It’s not because he’s a bad person or anything like that, my parents have just never liked me dating any guy in particular. What makes it worse is my mom is trying to get her friends son to go with me instead. She was telling me how good of a guy he is and how much she likes him😫 I don’t know what to do-

So I secretly got the guys number that I want to go to prom with and we’ve been texting each other nearly every day for the past couple of days. I need helppppppp😭 I don’t know if I should go with the other guy to please my parents or go with the guy I actually do like because I like himπŸ₯² sorry for rambling to all of you I just don’t know what to do. Let's be honest...there's always something our parents are against 😫 And if you like the boy I think you should try to make something else happen between you 😏 if it's what you want and you think it's okay! Although at the moment I do not recommend you risk the relationship you have with your parents for him. Oh I don't know, it's complicated... I think that saying that it's our decision and then saying that we better do X thing is something that all parents do 🀧 I wouldn't know how to help you but that's all
