I was planning to post and then this happened. James walks into the room and gives me news. Our friend, Pauline Davis has died. She was a trans woman, and had a beutiful soul. I knew her since I was a child, and she was male. She never seemed happy. Then when we were 12 she switched. We were so so happy. It was glorious. But she was killed in a London peace march, about a 2 hours ago. She lived in London during the winter, and she joined a group of trans people who wanted equality in the

2 years agoworkplace. All they wanted. Her friend Mandy texted us, that she found Pauline unresponsive on the ground. At one point the march got violent from marchers throwing rocks at windows. Then the police came, and supposedly shot people. It is so horrific. Please pray, I donβt know what to do.

2 years agoOh gosh. Jules Iβm sorry for you and her, may she Rest In Peace. Iβm not happy that she lost her life but Iβm happy because she fought for equality and lgbtq+ rights and she has earned her respect for many people, including mine. 2 years agoIβm so sorry, you just canβt seem to get a break from all the grief. I admire Pauline. Having the ability to stand up for yourself and fight for what you believe is right is sooo brave. I hope she will Rest In Peace and that others will be inspired by her story! π

2 years agoOh my goodness Jules, Iβm so sorry! That is so unfair. All they wanted was equality for LGBTQ+ people!!! I canβt believe that happened. So sorry for you, and sending lots of prayers. β₯οΈ

2 years agoJules, I'm sorry about your friend Pauline. What a traumatic loss of a lifelong friend. That should never have happened, and I hope someone is held accountable. As a member of her LGBTQ+ community, this hurts my heart and scares me. Hate crimes by the police are very real. You are going through so much, and I am sorry that you're enduring another sudden loss. I will keep you in my prayers.

2 years agoI don't want to burden you too much right now, so I'll just quickly let you know that the reason I haven't been active on Recolor is because my mom passed away late Friday night. It was very sudden and I didn't get to say goodbye to her. I'm in very deep grief and shock right now because I've lost my best friend as well as my mom. My only comfort is that she's no longer in any pain.
