Kingston & Khaleesi were our first & only Akitas for a few years before foster failing and adopting two more. Yes, we had momentarily lost our minds. With constant & seemingly endless effort, they became a tightly bonded pack. Sadly, large breeds have a shorter life span. Ten to twelve years

1 year agoSo now there are two. Sookie & Bear. They grieved when Khaleesi passed January 31st, 2022 & they’re now grieving Kingston who passed on January 10th 2023. They search the house and yard throughout the day & Sookie sits in the middle of the yard waiting, watching and listening. They miss him too.
