Hi guys! As promised on my contest entry post (previous post) here’s my Saturday Story! First, a little explanation: every Saturday I’ll post a pic and then tell u a story about me, to get to know me better. This story has nothing to do with the post, btw, but I colored this and liked it so… I’m in travel mood today, since I’m packing for my camping trip, so the story I’m gonna tell is about a road trip I took to visit fam in montana (I live in Washington state)

We (my parents, siblings, grandparents, and I) had been driving for 9hrs already and still had like 5 until we got home, so we stopped in this town near the Montana-Idaho border to stay the night (we’d been sleeping in a fifth wheel the entire trip). We left the next day around lunch. My grandma bought me a banana Italian soda to drink in the car ~ it was alright but not great, tbh I set the drink on the floor of the car, balanced between my shoes and a backpack.

My mom went around a sharp corner kinda fast and the drink tipped over. It was about 1/3 full and it all spilled onto the floor mats of the car. I was 13, I think, and I didn’t tell anyone about the spill because I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It dried and soaked into the floor mat, and I had an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ mentality.

Well, we got home, unpacked the car, and went to bed. Everyone was exhausted. We stayed home for at least two days. It was the middle of summer, so the car was in the hot sun the whole time. And then we got in the car three days after the spill to go to my grandparents house, cuz they didn’t live very far away. My younger brother got in the car first, started gagging, and said it smelled like a cat had barfed in there My twin sister coughed a bit and was like “what’s the smell?”

My mom got in the car and said “I think a mouse crawled up in the engine or something and died. That happened to me once, in college.” The smell was considerably worse on my side of the backseat, and that’s when I remembered the drink. I started laughing uncontrollably, cuz that’s my reaction in situations like that. It took TWO WEEKS of leaving the windows down 24/7 and constantly spraying Febreze on the floor mat to get the smell out, and I have never drank another banana Italian soda since

Ha!!!! Princess 🍓, I LOVE your first story! I have never heard of a banana Italian soda before, however after reading your story, I don’t think I’d ever want one! 😜 I DO have a similar story! I teach high school and MANY years ago my colleague (and really my BEST FRIEND EVER) and I smelled something in our dept. office, only we had no idea what it was! We knew that the smell was coming from the little fridge we had, but there wasn’t any rotten leftovers in there…. The stench just got worse

(continued)… as the weeks wore on, until one day I had to move the fridge bc I had dropped my favorite pen behind it. 😱 I found a very rotten BANANA behind the fridge!!! (We had actually moved the fridge once before to try to determine if there was rotten food behind it, but we did not see the banana bc the banana was kinda in between being somewhat behind the fridge and under a nearby table.) So I guess the CONSENSUS here is that ANY leftover banana in ANY form is ABSOLUTELY PUTRID!!!! 🤮

@Peeps haha your story was pretty good too!! That’s cool that you teach high school ~ some of my favorite teachers ever are certain high school teachers ~ what do you teach? Yeah, I agree: any all leftover bananas are horrid and should be avoided AT ALL COSTS @𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘵𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒆𝒔😶🌫 oh, I told them, I just waited about four months to tell them~ and they laughed a lot, gave me a little lecture about cleaning up spills rather than ignoring them, and didn’t let me have drinks in the car for like two months

😆😆😆😆😆😆 That story is freaking fantastic!!!! Thank u for the laughs. I've never heard of an Italian banana soda either! I'm gonna stay far away from it. 😳😆 I'm a total neat freak & so is my family, so don't have any stories on this topic. We love to clean. I know, total weirdos. I hope you will keep up the stories! And your picture is gorgeous, just lovely coloring. 💗💗💗💗👋🏼
