Even though my mom is vaccinated and boosted, she has contracted COVID for a second time. Some of you may remember that she was last diagnosed on November 5th, and she just got over the last of her remaining symptoms a couple weeks ago. She has a basically nonexistent immune system because she has cancer for the umpteenth time, and that is why she is so susceptible. She was exposed by a relative (by marriage) who knowingly came to a holiday party having been exposed to COVID by a sick individual

2 years agoHowever, this relative, who knows my mom's health situation, chose not to stay home to keep her family safe and instead exposed all of us too. Then she tested positive for COVID, and then my mom tested positive! And the worst part is that this woman is a medical professional: A nurse who works in a local hospital, and should definitely KNOW BETTER!! She was exposed when a COVID patient sneezed in her mouth! My mom was crying because she can't bear to go through it again, especially so soon.

2 years agoAll I can say is, please be safe, please think about others who may not be as healthy as you, as we all try to survive this hellish pandemic. I know we're all tired, frustrated, and wondering if it will ever end. I just want those I love and those you love to survive it. I would really appreciate any prayers or positive vibes you would be willing to send my mom's way. I'm convinced it's what got her through last time. Thank you๐โค๐๐ท

2 years ago@Gingerโ๏ธ๐ชThank you๐๐จ I agree! I'm mad. This was a health professional, with the knowledge to know better! She knowingly put my mom's life in danger because of my mom's immune system. I wish there was a way to hold her accountable, but there's not, so I just need to pray that my mom makes it through.

2 years ago@TracyNWOregon๐ฒ You're right, I agree. And unfortunately, it's extremely common. People ignoring quarantining rules, masking rules, etc. How many people have to die or have their health compromised before these people take it seriously? Perhaps they're incapable.
