I really love this coloring! I think my shading has really improved within these past 3 months, and I think I did a fair job on this one as well. Coloring people who are not naturally colored is really fun, so coloring her purple was super enjoyable for me! I decided I’m going to host a small Q&A this week, just for fun, so feel free to ask me any questions you want! And also, I forgot to say this on my last post, but happy Pride Month to anyone who celebrates! 💜

And here’s my answer to your question: I have taken the time to look at the colorings the top Recolorists on this app post, and they’re shading jobs they do. So I try to learn from them while adding my own touches, of course. When I shade, I just choose a color I want to use from the Gradients section and

She is really pretty. I like the way you made the background an orangey yellow color that contrasts the purple and blue. Your shading is great it looks so natural. A question for you is how do you get so good at shading? Do you use a stylus or your finger, and how do you know the right color to use? One shade darker or the same color gone over and over?

@Caroline's Coloring then head over to the Crayons section. And since it’s a gradient, there are variations of the same color all in one. So I just use that to shade, oh, and I choose the color that I want and place it on the background, and then go and drag to choose the colors in the crayon section. Does that make sense?
