Hello girls, guys, non binary folk and everyone in between. My name is Enira and today I drew Marina! (they/them) Here is Marina, they are the 2nd main character of Wishful Thinking that I am posting the reference/character sheet for! (There are 5 main characters in total, im posting them not in any particular order btw) Idk why but it's really difficult for me to write down their personality traits and stuff for these sheet things, usually their personalities are shown through actual dialogue and actions (guess this is why I'm an animator and not a writer 😂) Anyways some extra info: Marina was born in Canada but the Seok family moved to New York, and then shortly after their parents divorced. They live with their mum but see their dad from time to time. Their story focuses a lot on the complicated relationships between Marina and their parents. At the beginning of the series, Marina starts out as a girl and the story follows their exploration of gender and then their transition into the non-binary pleb they are now, and how they express themselves following their new gender. Marina is always either dwelling in the past or worrying about the future, so they also learn to loosen up and enjoy the present. Marina also has memory loss and struggles with how that affects them and their relationships with others.  Anyways, I struggled with the colour on their outfit here bc I thought I knew what I was doing with the blues, but turns out I didn't lol. It looks weird and I may have to redo their entire outfit bc I wanted them to wear cargo pants instead of jeans, but it just turned out looking like jeans with the blue :/ That's all for today, byeee!!!

Beige green usually gets across that cargo pant look, I think. Glad to see you posting again! It always feels like a special treat when you give me a crumb of your story’s lore and your art. I think that Mariana’s internal struggle is very compelling and I’m exited to see how their storyline and character arc play out. Also, personality playing out through actions and dialogue is literally one of the tips they give people when they write 💀 bruh you about as writer as a person can get
