Oh wow, awesome!!! The outside of the "Overlook Hotel" is Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. I live about an hour away from there. Mt. Hood is in my mind the most gorgeous mountain.
A classic film and another reason to be so connected to you. I saw it at a theater when I was 15 ... freaked me out!!

I knew that Stephen King (& wife) stayed at the Stanley hotel in Colorado and at their visit’s end were the only two guests left in the hotel, hence his inspiration began, however I never knew where the view of the “Overlook” exterior was shot and now I do! Let’s face it, Trace, ALL of Oregon is beautiful! Let me go further and just say the Earth is beautiful. I’m SICK of ppl ignoring it’s health! 😖☹️

2 years ago@Deborah H Lol, I watch it every October when it incessantly airs on one of the channels I get. Many years ago before Gentry was born, Kent traveled a LOT. He was in Portugal at the time and we lived in a mobile home here on the ranch..we’d moved it around so much it was almost falling apart, so it was creepy living out here on 500 acres, so dark, no security lights outside…and I read Silence of the Lambs, each night til I was through with the book. Didn’t even have a pet for company! Lol
