@Dee Van …is gotten up the day of surgery to begin walking on that leg. At age 69, not taking a step for months (because he was in a mobility chair for 4 months before the surgery) and then no weight bearing for 7 weeks after that, well, I dont have to tell you how a body will atrophy. He was in PT for 4 months til they said they wouldn’t do anymore. He’s fallen 3 times, uses a cane but does not do too well with it and still has to use a walker at night. So he’s good, but sort of not.
