What beautiful woodpeckers, Elle! Beautiful coloring too! They appear to be either hairy or downy woodpeckers. The major difference is size. The hairy is larger, near the size of the American robin. The downy is nearer the size of a house sparrow. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous picture and for joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.

Another possibility is the great spotted woodpecker; it has red underneath its tail. If you know which, please share.
