These are the Goddess themes for the Monday Mythology Challenges in October. I have mixed up the cultural mythology for a little bit of diversity and fun. The next three comments will give a blurb on each goddess. I do hope youโll join in, my friends. Please have a good and safe week. ๐๐ธ๐ฅฐ๐

11th October Theme: In Norse mythology, Idun (also spelled Idunn, or Iduna) is the goddess of spring or rejuvenation. She was the keeper of the magic apples of immortality, which the gods must eat to preserve their youth.

18th: In African Mythology, Yemaya is the Yorรนbรก Orisha/Goddess of the living Ocean, considered the mother of all. She is the source of all the waters, including the rivers of western Africa. As all life is thought to have begun in the sea, all life is held to have begun with Yemaya. She is motherly & strongly protective, cares deeply for all her children, comforting them & cleansing them of sorrow. She is said to be able to cure infertility in women, and cowrie shells represent her wealth.

This is beautiful and the challenges sound wonderful. I'm more familiar with the Greek/Roman gods but happy to learn of other myths. Just hope I feel better and have time. Been under the weather this week, and Blythe is coming in from the West Coast next week for a two week visit. I've been trying to color ahead for October challenges. Hope you are well and safe.

@Karen C : I hope you feel better soon and have a lovely time during your daughterโs visit. Real life comes first. If you canโt colour for the October goddesses thatโs fine. Since I had MCM on the first Monday of this month, I thought to mix it up with the goddesses this time around before locking in one cultureโs mythology once again. Thanks for letting me know. Hugs. ๐
