I am from the South, N.Florida. One grandparent was from Georgia and one from Alabama. Not that there was the tiniest bit of difference between any of them, especially then. It's still Southern in North Fl and all down the gulf coast. It probably is an East Coast thing. Absolutely love that fish pole! It just belongs there! My family is from the Midwest, and my mother said crick & other colorful words. I remember calling her out as a kid on her word βwarshβ when she was doing the laundry.
