I thought it sounded kinda southern, but maybe it's an American thing. That no one will know about 50 years from now πŸ˜‰

My parents were from Midwest Pa and said all kinds of things you need an interpreter for.πŸ˜‚You’re so right. We get strange looks from youngins sometimes. It might be eastern U.S.πŸ˜‰@HollyDE πŸŒΌπŸƒ Are you from the south? My husbands family is from W Va and they know how to embellish on words.πŸ˜„πŸ’›Take care

I am from the South, N.Florida. One grandparent was from Georgia and one from Alabama. Not that there was the tiniest bit of difference between any of them, especially then. It's still Southern in North Fl and all down the gulf coast. It probably is an East Coast thing. It makes me sad that everyone is so homogenized now, were all losing our individuality and so many witty, funny sayings are being lost now. My relatives kissed the blarney stone too. I remember my Grandmother telling me how

Absolutely love that fish pole! It just belongs there! My family is from the Midwest, and my mother said crick & other colorful words. I remember calling her out as a kid on her word β€˜warsh’ when she was doing the laundry.
