Another fascinating history lesson. This I did not know. I didnβt know the tamaleβs full history, I mean, I did know it was a dish native to the Americas & only later became part of what we generalize as βMexican Food.β π«πππΌπ

@Paradoxical Taco I'm always curious about our history. The Best Parts Always Make Us Feel Good. Especially the Yummiest Ones!
I make El Chingon Tamales! And there is a story when you prepare them.
Food History is Awesome.

I just learned a lot! I'm a fan of tamales... Given what I know of my culture, it would make sense they would cook these. π€ Thanks for the post! πΌ
Nice way to recognize food from Native American people, we had not survived without their help on the new found lands. But then also tragedy ensued πΊπΊπΊ

Fascinating, thanks for sharing. When we lived in West Dallas, every Sunday a lady and her beautiful little daughter would come to our apartment complex and go door to door selling homemade tamales. It was something we looked forward to. We moved from there over 20 years ago and still miss waiting for the tamales on Sunday.
