2 years agoBeautifully done, Maurice💚. I’m sorry you feel that way about the response to your work. I always enjoy your beautiful coloring and more often than not have the time to visit galleries and comment. But it can be very time-consuming and I can understand why people are sometimes just too busy to stay caught up here. You’ll be dearly missed if you leave. ❤️

2 years agoI have people like you that routinely like and comment on my work and I truly appreciate it. I know that it is difficult to stay caught up with other people’s galleries as you well know I am always running behind on commenting. I guess what bothers me is that I have gone from routinely getting 100 to 150 or more likes to being lucky to get 80 or so and really don’t understand why. I don’t think the quality of my coloring has declined. Think am just getting burned out. @KarenMay

2 years agoAu contraire! The quality of your work gets more and more beautiful! If you’re just burned out that’s one thing. But if coloring is something you truly enjoy (and I suspect it is), then stopping would be a disservice to yourself. And that would be a shame, my friend, 💕

2 years agoThis is sad, Maurice & I do understand although I just have the basic app as I can’t afford more! So I don’t get that many comments & likes at all.. But over time , I have gathered some really lovely people who have, literally supported me through thick & thin & this app is the first place I visit when I have a down day! All this without thinking about the actual artwork.. So I suppose it just depends what you want to get from it really.. Please don’t go. I so enjoy our banters & your work ❤️❤️❤️

2 years agoI appreciate your kind words. If I decide to stop posting pictures I won’t be stopping coloring as I enjoy it too much. Also, I won’t stop viewing and commenting on other people’s art as I truly enjoy that aspect of Recolor. Right now I am leaning toward continuing to post but cutting back and only posting a few times a week rather than daily but need to think about it for awhile. @KarenMay @🇬🇧 Moominmomma 🇬🇧

2 years agoDo not be discouraged, Maurice. This is something you enjoy to do, and it goes without saying, you are extremely talented. You have your friends who enjoy your creativity. Numbers do not matter. Be happy in what you want to accomplish, and color for your own enjoyment!👏👏👏

2 years agoMaurice, that has happened to a lot of people, me included. I think more and more young people have come on here and they post anime pics, and others referring to Disney, Harry Potter and references to things I am not familiar with but they are obsessed with. So they like and comment on each other’s postings and ignore the Recolor posts or those done by “older” people or maybe those pics they consider uncool and not sufficiently referencing their passions. Anyway, that’s what I’ve observed.
