A lot of the psychological research that they did on him turned from strange, to borderline abusive, to actual mental & emotional abuse. Itβs hard to escape from any kind of issue, but psychological problems can stick with a person forever. So I actually do think that there are some personality traits

2 years agoBen has that have come from his trauma. He has this thing where he feels really guilty whenever he canβt help as much as heβd like (as a healer especially, and the same when he becomes a doctor) Or heβll blame himself for things that really werenβt his fault.
Itβs interesting, but also sad at the same time

It kinda reminds me of Jason Toddβs childhood-
When he was younger, he was taken from his mother because she couldnβt take care of him. So he went to live with his new parents. His father was abusive towards him and his mother. His mother was a drug addict. They would fight a lot, and he would hide under the table with his dog Sparky. He took care of his mother after his father went to jail and probably did most of the cooking and cleaningβ¦..

2 years agoAnd he always blamed himself for everything (like Benjamin), and he never thought himself as good enough. Then when he found out that his birthmother was being blackmailed by the Joker, he went to save her, but she betrayed him. She told the Joker where he was. The Joker beat Jason with a crowbar, then tied him up in a warehouse set to explode and threw his birthmother in there too. Jason untied his mother so she could escape, but the door was locked.

2 years agoHe threw himself over his mother to protect her from the blast when the bomb was going off. (Even though this was futile and they both died)

Umm I think a good thing to remember is that you donβt have to write something perfect. Most authors have multiple drafts and they never spend the first one editing and making everything perfect. I think I have to remind myself that a lot. Itβs difficult to keep going, but the more you work & write, the better the story will get π I hope that helps π
