Beautiful Birds challenge hosted by Susan Bird โค๏ธer. Lovebirds are small African parrots that are named after the strongly affectionate pair bonds they form with their chosen mate. Bonded pairs spend extended periods throughout the day and night snuggled up together, preening and feeding each other.
Eight of the nine Lovebird species come from Africa, the remaining one from Madagascar.

2 years agoWhat sweet, beautifully colored lovebirds, Karmac! Wonderful watercolor effect. Although they are parrots and have the ability to mimic human speech, Lovebirds are notconsideredย talking birds. They very rarely speak, and if they do, more often than not they repeat simple noises such as whistles or household sounds such as doorbells.
