It is not up to any of us to determine who should have freedom or dignity, simply because it is "justified" by various interpretations of so called Holy text.
If as a society, we were simply taught that these various things exist and we should love without judgment ... this hatred would not exist.
We are conditioned to think people are wrong or bad because it violates a social construct.
It is a tragedy.

1 year agoWe apply rules to everyone, such as women should be thin, men cannot show emotion, one religion is superior ... and we hate, torment and torture people when they aren't this social dictation.
Can you imagine having your rights taken away because you are overweight, or too short, or you cry?
Well that's what some do to those they don't agree with. People look the other way or support it, until it personally effects them.
We are all humans... period.

One of my friends is trans and uses he/they pronouns and ppl are super mean to him and some still call them ‘she’ (their birth gender) and just don’t even care that he’s not female. The level of ignorance and hatred some people are capable of disgusts me, tbh

I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community, & I live in one of the most conservative states in America, & it's so d*mn scary now. I no longer feel safe being "out" to strangers, & the homophobia & transphobia are the highest they've been in years. We're going backwards!
