โBeautiful Birdโ hosted by Susan Birdโค๏ธR ๐บ๐ธ . The artist of this piece unfortunately wasnโt credited. Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers (although they are not closely associated with water). The distinctive โlaughingโ of a kookaburra's call sounds much like echoing human laughter. Thanks so much for your lovely visit, dear RC friends. Youโre all fabulous! ๐๐ฆ๐ฅฐ๐

Fabulous kookaburras! So beautifully colored, Suzy! Native to the eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia, the laughing kookaburra is the largest member of the Kingfisher family. Females weigh up to one pound and grow up to 18 inches long. It eats various invertebrates and small vertebrates including small snakes. In western Australia and New Zealand, the kookaburra angers farmers by preying on their fowl. Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture and for joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.
