This is really meaningful and I agree one hundred percent with your message! I think Juneteenth being recognized as a federal holiday was an important step because itโ€™s acknowledging and, kinda, recognizing that this happened, that white people have done (and some continue to do) horrible things to people of other races, to people they viewed as lesser simply because those people were not like them

Tracy, I love all all the incredible info you provided in your intro. It's so needed, now more than ever, to let people know the truth. If we don't know history, we'll keep repeating it. Knowledge is POWER. And respect, love, support and working to make sure we all have equality under the law is necessary for any country to honestly be "the land of the free" or a true democracy! And I agree, justifying prejudice in any form because of your religion or God rings false. What kind of God are you

...following that encourages hate or a belief that you are better than someone else because of the color of your skin, the person that you love, the religion or Messiah you follow, etc? Jesus, for example, taught nothing but the ways of Love, a refusal to judge others without first looking to yourself to make sure you were without any faults, a dislike for greed, an absolute love & acceptance for marginalized communities, and forgiveness. I don't see enough people truly remembering these

...teachings. There's a whole lot of judgement going around, especially for marginalized and minority communities. Rights are being taken away. There's so much corporate and 1% greed. The poor, disabled, and mentally ill have less than ever and are so judged. Politicians are making sure votes count less through gerrymandering and refusal to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. I agree with you Tracy about the fears for the future and a possible civil war because of people's intolerance for

for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, religions other than Christianity, immigration, and ignorance and fear of not being the "majority" or doing whatever they can get away with to hold onto their privileges and power. There are a lot of fake allies out there too. I see them in your gallery all the time. It's sad, frustrating, and tiring. I don't know what to do. RC doesn't feel that safe anymore. Sometimes I wonder what to do. You can delete all this if you want to. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜žโค๏ธ

@andriavanb Preach!! You are thoughtful, wise and beautiful!! BTW ... I am pretty observant ... I notice selective likes and comments and I also notice recently a few who have kind of bailed. I am fine with that . My whole life I have been the same way with every person in every aspect of my life. I have paid the price for being an outspoken advocate for rights. I worked in medical group homes and actually have PTSD from treatment I got from those who wanted me to be quiet and comply.
