What a gorgeous bird, Brigette! Wonderful artwork! I think this bird may be a female village weaver. Village Weavers are a gregarious species of weedy and agricultural areas; they occur in flocks of tens to hundreds. Typically one of the most common weaver species. Note the red eyes, hefty bill, and relatively large size. Constructs compact hanging woven nests, often in large colonies in or near towns.
