Awesome bird, Lori! Beautiful coloring too. It reminds me of the red phase fox sparrow but Iโd appreciate clues to its identity. Named for the rich red hues that many Fox Sparrows wear, this species is nevertheless one of North Americaโs most variable birds. Four main groups can range from foxy red to gray to dark brown. They breed primarily in remote areas and are mostly seen in winter when they move into backyard thickets. Thank you for sharing and joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.
